Pet Simulator 99 progression is spread across numbered areas, larger worlds, machine unlocks, side activities, quests, and hidden collectibles. Treat the map as a dependency chain: reach the next gate, unlock the system you need, and return to older content only when its reward helps the current account.
The official BIG Games Index reported 279 areas across four progression worlds on 2026-08-04: Coins World, Tech World, Void World, and Fantasy World. Event maps can sit outside that sequence and may use their own currency, upgrades, pets, and rebirth rules.

Progress through the four worlds
Coins World contains the opening route and the first 99 numbered areas. Tech World continues with another 100, followed by 40 in Void World and 40 in Fantasy World according to the official area database checked on the page date. Those counts describe the main numbered route, not every temporary event zone or room inside a minigame.
Push until the next gate becomes inefficient, then improve the weakest constraint: pet strength, equipped count, rank, enchant loadout, potion uptime, flags, fruits, or access to a useful machine. Spending every coin on an egg can delay the gate; refusing to hatch can leave the team too weak. Compare one gate attempt before and after an upgrade.
World transitions are important checkpoints. Before leaving, inspect newly available machines, rank tasks, and teleport destinations. Unlocking the next world does not make every earlier activity obsolete. Daycare, merchants, chests, minigames, and collectibles may still justify a return.
Build a machine route
Machines handle pet conversion, item upgrades, fusing, charms, daycare, index rewards, and many other systems. Their interfaces can change, and some later conveniences duplicate earlier machines. The Machines guide groups them by job so you can prepare inputs before teleporting.
Never click through a machine from memory. Read the input quantity, output, chance if shown, price, duration, tradable state, and whether the action can be reversed. Keep your best stat pet, locked collectibles, quest items, and high-value stock outside the batch.
Event machines are separate until the live UI proves otherwise. The Pets vs. Coins Garden has its own Fuse Machine, Boost Machine, Upgrade Machine, and Combine-o-Matic. A normal-world recipe or mastery perk should not be assumed to apply there.
Choose side activities by purpose
Minigames, chests, dig sites, fishing, obbies, raids, and other activities compete with area farming for time. Compare entry requirements, active attention, cooldown, likely reward type, relevant mastery, and the value of staying in the best area. A rare headline reward does not make an activity efficient for every account.
Quests should be stacked where possible. If a rank task asks for breakables, a mastery needs the same action, and an area objective can be completed in the same route, combine them. Do not assume event missions advance normal rank quests; verify the counter after a small test.
Relic hunts are best done after teleport access is broad. Search one world in area order, keep a checklist, and revisit after map changes. If a guide and the live map disagree, record the location you actually confirmed rather than forcing an outdated coordinate.
Use an efficient session loop
Start by collecting time-gated resources you already value. Review current rank or event objectives, equip a loadout for one job, and teleport to the relevant area. Run one benchmark interval, note currency and drops, then change only one variable.
When a new gate opens, pause before immediately buying it. Check whether a nearby machine, quest reward, or egg materially improves the next stretch. Keep a reserve for the gate after the upgrade. If progress stalls, compare active pushing with an overnight or offline route that is actually supported by the current system.
End by locking important drops, moving trade stock away from consumables, and recording the next target. This prevents a later upgrade or fuse batch from consuming something that belonged to a collection, trade, or event plan.
Use a separate route for active and idle play. An active route can include short minigames, quest checks, machine batches, and deliberate gate pushes because you are present to claim, reposition, and change loadouts. An idle route should rely only on systems whose current interface supports unattended progress. Confirm pet placement, inventory capacity, auto-delete rules, and any area requirement before stepping away.
When playing with friends or a populated server, note whether shared breakable damage, server bonuses, or crowded objectives change the result. A route measured in one server may not transfer exactly to a private or low-population server. Keep the route that remains useful under normal conditions, not only the one that produced a single exceptional spawn.
For a returning account, begin with an unlock audit instead of buying immediately. Open worlds, teleports, ranks, rebirths, Mastery, equipped-pet capacity, machines, and the current event. Compare old inventory with current tooltips. This reveals which inherited assets remain useful and prevents spending on an unlock the account already owns.
