Pet Simulator 99 Potions Guide

Choose and upgrade Pet Simulator 99 potions by farming goal, duration, tier, stacking, replacement cost, and current garden-event support.

Potions are timed Pet Simulator 99 boosts. Their value depends on using the right effect during a session long enough to benefit. A high-tier potion consumed while idle or in an unsupported event can be worth less than selling it.

Use the official BIG Games Potions category for current records and the live tooltip for effect, tier, duration, stack behavior, and tradable state. Maintained indexes can help compare families, but a static number should not replace the current client.

Checked 2026-08-04: potion taxonomy is Official. Exact percentages, duration, stacking, upgrade recipes, and sources are update-sensitive. Garden potions have first-party role descriptions from Update 86.

Match potion to session

Coin potions fit area progression and sustainable hatching. Diamond potions fit direct-diamond tests. Treasure or drop potions fit item farming. Damage and speed support a team that cannot clear efficiently. Luck potions fit applicable eggs, not every event machine.

Define the session, then activate the boost shortly before starting. Record remaining duration and avoid switching to an unrelated mode. If a breakable farm already clears instantly, more damage may have little effect; test collection or output support instead.

Count the potion’s sale or replacement value in profit. A boost can increase gross output and still reduce net value.

Tiers and upgrade machine

Lower tiers can be combined at the current Upgrade Potions Machine according to the live recipe. Maintained machine references place an early version in Dark Forest in Coins World. Remote access or later machines can change convenience.

Before upgrading, preserve tiers requested by rank quests and compare the output’s duration and market. Several lower potions can be more flexible than one long high tier. Mastery progress is an additional benefit, not proof that every combine is economical.

Test whether active potions extend, stack, queue, or replace one another. Do not consume duplicates rapidly without reading the timer behavior.

Official garden potions

Update 86 names four event families:

  • Fertilizer supports garden defender damage.
  • Sunlight supports faster attacks and crop growth.
  • Rain supports coin and seed luck.
  • Growth Cocktail combines the three roles.

These purposes are official. Exact tiers, strength, duration, stacking, drop chance, merchant stock, and effect after Update 87 require the live garden UI. Update 87 also tells Rose Wolf hunters to use Better Luck and Rain, but does not publish the resulting odds.

Do not generalize Gardening Potions to normal-world pet effects. Keep event and evergreen inventory decisions separate.

Obtain, use, or sell

Potions can come from drops, chests, gifts, merchants, vending, minigames, quests, events, and upgrading. Check current source and cost. A free potion still has a trade value if it is tradable.

Use potions that accelerate a real bottleneck or measured profitable route. Hold limited event potions when their future use is unclear. Sell surplus tiers that are liquid and do not support current mastery, quests, or farms.

For a trade, match family, tier, quantity, and event status. Do not price a lower tier from a higher-tier RAP screenshot.

Potion benchmark

Run the same area for equal time without and with the potion. Hold team, enchants, fruit, flag, server, and event state constant. Record direct currency, drops, and consumable cost. The difference is the account-specific value.

For luck effects, a short test may not prove odds because rare outcomes are noisy. Use the official tooltip for intended effect and avoid promising results from a small sample.

Potion mistakes

  • Activating a long boost before leaving the mode.
  • Combining every lower tier needed for quests.
  • Counting gross farm increase without potion cost.
  • Using normal potions in an isolated event without support evidence.
  • Treating a short hatch sample as the true probability.
  • Mixing garden potion names with normal-world potion families.

Potions FAQ

Which potion should I use?

Use the one aligned with the current job and supported by the current mode. Damage for a clear-speed wall, coins for progression, diamonds for direct currency, and drops for item farming are different choices.

Should I upgrade potions?

Compare recipe, tier needed for quests, duration, effect, mastery, and market value first.

Do Gardening Potions work offline?

Update 86 says crops earn offline, but it does not establish which active potion timers apply while away. Check the current garden tooltip and harvest result.

Where can I find exact current effects?

Use the official BIG Games database and live tooltip. Maintained indexes are secondary references.
